The once tired 1970’s tower block located in the heart of Reading town centre is now an exciting newly renovated office space – Thames Tower. Designed by DN-A Architects and constructed by Bowmer & Kirkland, the building has been beautifully modernised to include a grand open-plan reception area, where BCL bamboo panels form the central feature in this striking new design.
The eye catching Bamboo BCL ceiling and wall panels cover 210m2. The panels were designed with 19 x 44mm slats and a 19mm gap (30% open area), giving the system a class B acoustic performance rating. A clear 3-coat, factory applied, Class 0 (EU Class B) lacquer covers the slats, providing the required fire rating to the system.
